Baseball Recap: Sebastian River Sharks vs. Bayside Bears
Sebastian River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bayside Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Sharks have lost by just one run.
Noah Duerden was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024.
Sebastian River's record is now 2-10. As for Bayside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.
Sebastian River will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on True North Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Bayside, they will venture away from home to take on Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Bayside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
