Volleyball Recap: Houston's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Houston had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Simley Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Houston didn't let Simley take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24.

Olivia Yohe went supernova, getting five kills and four aces. Those five kills gave her a new career-high. Cadence Koehler was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Houston picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Simley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Houston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Plainview-Elgin-Millville on the 6th. As for Simley, they will venture away from home to square off against Hastings at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
