Tri-County won the last time they faced North Newton, and things went their way on Friday too. The Tri-County Cavaliers claimed a resounding 52-8 win over the North Newton Spartans. Considering the Cavaliers have won six contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Pearson, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Pearson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 114 rushing yards. Corbin Laffoon was another key rusher, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Hathaway also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 12. Another thorn in North Newton's side was Ephraim Boles, who picked up a sack and made 14 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Tri-County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 246 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Tri-County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. As for North Newton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
