Baseball Recap: La Junta Takes a Loss

If La Junta was feeling good fresh off their 21-5 takedown of Shadow Mountain on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. La Junta came up short against the Forest Grove Vikings on Friday, falling 13-3.

La Junta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Treyce Lovato, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That hit marked the first that Lovato got this season.

La Junta's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Forest Grove, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

La Junta has already played their next matchup, a 13-9 defeat against Valley Vista on the 21st. As for Forest Grove, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Crismon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crismon will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Forest Grove surely won't give up without a fight.
