Baseball Recap: The O'Neal School Comes Up Short

The O'Neal School came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-1 to the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 last Tuesday.

The O'Neal School's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

The O'Neal School will take on Village Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Village Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they will challenge Wilmington Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Freedom Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Wilmington Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
