Basketball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

Jackson lost against Morgan County on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jackson Red Devils were beaten by the Morgan County Bulldogs 74-31. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-15.

Zeki Locus continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Morgan County, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Locus is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Kobi Jefferies was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Jackson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Morgan County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will square off against Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morgan County, they will face off against Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
