Basketball Game Preview: Central City Value Jaguars vs. Orthopaedic Vipers

Central City Value has gone 9-1 against Orthopaedic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Central City Value Jaguars will look to defend their home court against the Orthopaedic Vipers at 3:30 p.m. Central City Value's defense has only allowed 22.7 points per game this season, so Orthopaedic's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Central City Value took their matchup with ease, bagging a 32-3 win over Animo Bunche. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Central City Value's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dayara Moreno led the charge by putting up ten points and five steals. Moreno is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Scarlet Zelaya, who posted three points along with ten boards and six steals.

Central City Value smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 22 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Orthopaedic came up short against Aspire Ollin on Wednesday, falling 47-21.

Central City Value has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points per game. As for Orthopaedic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
