Vinita waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They breezed past the Catoosa Indians to the tune of 61-23. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.

When it comes to explaining why Catoosa lost, don't look at Lexi Buckmaster. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Buckmaster has posted since back in December of 2024.

Vinita pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points over those games. As for Catoosa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

Vinita does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Catoosa, they will square off against Miami at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
