Game recap: Fourth quarter score takes Heathwood Hall Episcopal to victory over Laurence Manning Academy

Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, S.C.) captured the lead in overtime and held on for a 12-9 victory over Laurence Manning Academy (Manning, S.C.) on Saturday. The Highlanders captured the lead for good when it ran for a touchdown.

After trailing 6-0 at the half, the Swampcats went ahead on a Nick Gibbons touchdown run with under a minute left in the fourth. Heathwood Hall Episcopal grabbed hold of the lead when it ran for a touchdown with under a minute left in the fifth quarter, and never relinquished it.

Laurence Manning Academy's Gibbons was the standout player for his team. He ran for one touchdown.

LMA's lone touchdown came on a 10-yard run by Gibbons in the fourth quarter.



HHE got revenge for last year's 13-3 loss to the Manning school with the victory.

In a SCISA AAA game next week Heathwood Hall Episcopal (2-2) takes on Orangeburg Prep, and Laurence Manning Academy (3-2) will go up against Ben Lippen also in a SCISA AAA game.
