Basketball Recap: American Heritage Comes Up Short

American Heritage played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 65-34 loss at the hands of the Challis Vikings. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Challis was led to victory by Ramey Rhoades and Jacen Farr. Rhoades went 10 of 17 on his way to 27 points and four steals, while Farr posted 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. What's more, Rhoades also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. James Parker was another key player, putting up nine points along with five boards and four steals.

American Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Challis, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Heritage will square off against Rockland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Challis, they will take on Carey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
