Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside lost against McLoughlin back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates lost 14-2 to the Pioneers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roberto Lopez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Hector Magallanes also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for McLoughlin, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Riverside will face off against Portland Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. McLoughlin will be paying especially close attention to the Pirates' match: after the Pirates faces off against Touchet, they'll take on McLoughlin again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
