Football Recap: Verdugo Hills Dons vs. North Hollywood Huskies
Verdugo Hills lost against North Hollywood back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dons came up short against the Huskies, falling 38-16. The Dons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.

Verdugo Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jered Smith, who threw for 282 yards and a pair of touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (100 yards to be exact) went to Jack Iafrate.
GAVEN ZAMORA was his usual excellent self, rushing for 200 yards and three scores on only 14 carries for North Hollywood. With that strong performance, ZAMORA is now averaging an impressive 105 rushing yards per game. JOSIAH TAYLOR was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one TD on only eight carries.
Verdugo Hills' loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4. As for North Hollywood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
