Soccer Recap: Parkland Takes a Loss

Parkland lost against Bel Air back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Parkland Matadors came up short against the Bel Air Highlanders, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Highlanders are ranked 29th).

Parkland now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Bel Air, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

The future could be bright for both Parkland and Bel Air: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Parkland will try to hand Horizon their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Bel Air will look to extend Hanks' three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
