Softball Recap: Bronson Comes Up Short

Bronson dropped down to 11-10 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Trenton Tigers, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 back in March.

As for Trenton, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games.

For Trenton's part, Addison Allaire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Allaire has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Hinote, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Presley Akins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

As of now, neither Bronson nor Trenton have any future games scheduled.
