Basketball Game Preview: R.A. Long Lumberjacks vs. Kelso Hilanders

R.A. Long is 0-6 against Kelso since December of 2014 but things could change on Monday. The R.A. Long Lumberjacks will head out to face off against the Kelso Hilanders at 6:00 p.m. R.A. Long knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Kelso likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, everything came up roses for R.A. Long against Hudson's Bay as the team secured a 79-26 victory. The Lumberjacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 29 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Kelso had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Battle Ground on Thursday as Kelso made off with a 65-43 win. The Hilanders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kelso's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for R.A. Long, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

R.A. Long was taken down by Kelso 60-24 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Can R.A. Long avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
