Wells proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Phoenix Military Firebirds 11-10. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wells' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Phoenix Military, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wells will challenge rival Collins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Phoenix Military is set to square off against their familiar foe Roosevelt at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.
