Basketball Recap: Brayden Dawson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cypress Christian over the Woodlands Christian Academy

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Cypress Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors, falling 55-29. The loss continues a trend for Cypress Christian in their matchups with The Woodlands Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.

Cypress Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brayden Dawson, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Escobar, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Cypress Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-6.

Cypress Christian will welcome Kelly Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Frassati Catholic on Friday.
