Volleyball Recap: Gordon Central Takes a Loss

Gordon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Murray Mountaineers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-4, 25-11.

Kinsleigh Massingill paced Gordon Central's offense, picking up four kills. Massingill got some help from Kendall Tucker and her four assists. Shelby Bodiford controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Gordon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Murray, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-12.

Looking ahead, Gordon Central will challenge Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Murray, they will take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
