Basketball Recap: Stanberry Comes Up Short

Stanberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 63-38 to the North Andrew Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Cardinals are ranked 223rd).

Stanberry's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for North Andrew, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Stanberry will challenge St. Joseph Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for North Andrew, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the North Andrew Cardinals take on the North Platte Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. North Platte knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully North Andrew likes a good challenge.
