Izard County and Cotter are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Cougars will head out to take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Izard County will be strutting in after a victory while Cotter will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Izard County beat Sloan-Hendrix 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Cotter suffered their closest defeat since March 11th on Friday. They fell just short of Life Way Christian by a score of 8-6. Cotter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Tilton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Cotter is 4-2 when Tilton posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Brayden Adams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Izard County's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Cotter, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Izard County came out on top in a nail-biter against Cotter in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 9-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
