Baseball Recap: Middletown South Starts off Right with Win over Marlboro

Middletown South had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Marlboro Mustangs 10-8. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.

Peter DeNicola looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Concordia, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in runs (two). Pat Dempsey was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four RBI.
