Soccer Game Preview: Bishop O'Dowd vs. Berkeley

The Bishop O'Dowd Dragons will face off against the Berkeley Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bishop O'Dowd's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Castro Valley 3-0. Bishop O'Dowd haven't had any issues with Castro Valley recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bishop O'Dowd hit Castro Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Senai Hadgu, Jonah Goldsmith, and Trevor Kaplan.

Meanwhile, Berkeley was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Amador Valley. That's two games straight that Berkeley have won by just one goal.

Berkeley's win bumped their record up to 9-2-2. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they now have a winning record of 4-3-4.

Bishop O'Dowd suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Berkeley in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
