Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Wins Going Away Against Fort Wayne North Side

After losing to Fort Wayne North Side the last time they met, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cadets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Legends on Wednesday.

While Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Evan Armstead and Awathan Shein, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Mason Pankop and his 19 assists. Shein was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fort Wayne North Side, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran will square off against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cadets are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fort Wayne North Side, they will take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Legends surely won't give up without a fight.
