Pinckneyville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt DuQuoin on Monday. The Panthers blew past the Indians 13-3. Considering the Panthers have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Pinckneyville, bringing their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for DuQuoin, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Pinckneyville has already played their next game, a 14-11 victory against Anna-Jonesboro on the 22nd. As for DuQuoin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-1 defeat against Frankfort on the 22nd.
