Evangelical Christian got themselves on the board against Scotts Hill on Tuesday, but Scotts Hill never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Scotts Hill Lions as they made off with  a  12-0 victory. With that  win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
 Caiden Caldera made a big impact no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. What's more,  he posted two  hits, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Banks Addison, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Jack Gates was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Evangelical Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scotts Hill only posted a  batting average of  .167.
Evangelical Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season. Scotts Hill is  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-8-1.
 Looking ahead, Evangelical Christian will take on Covington at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Scotts Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  9-8  loss against Tipton-Rosemark Academy on the 18th.
