Recap: Peyton Panthers vs. Center Vikings
The Peyton Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Center 74-29 at home. That looming 74-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Peyton yet this season.
Peyton found their leader in underclassman Michael Perry, who scored 30 points along with nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Breese, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two blocks.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rico Garcia-Luna, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Ivan Guaderrama, who scored nine points.
Peyton's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Center, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Peyton will be playing in front of their home fans against Salida at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salida is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Del Norte at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Norte is on a three-game streak of home losses, Center a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
