Football Game Preview: College Station Cougars vs. Beaumont United Timberwolves + How To Watch

The College Station Cougars will face off against the Beaumont United Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. College Station knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Beaumont United likes a good challenge.

College Station is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-23 victory over Angleton.

Keaton Johnson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 183 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 81 yards and one TD. Those 183 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trey Walton, who rushed for 111 yards and one score on only ten carries.

College Station's run defense was locked in: Angleton could only muster one yards per carry. The team can thank Wade Couch for the heroic effort on defense: he. College Station didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.4.

College Station's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up seven sacks. Couch was especially locked on to Angleton's QB and sacked him three times.

Meanwhile, Beaumont United earned a 27-19 win over Madison on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

College Station better focus on containing Da'Shawn Moore and Race Deshotel as the pair were huge in Beaumont United's win. Moore gained 177 total yards and a touchdown, while Deshotel threw for 222 yards and one TD. 83 of those passing yards were hauled in by Ashton Henry.
