Softball Recap: Oil City Oilers vs. Franklin Knights
Oil City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to the Franklin Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Oilers of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.
Shalyn Whittemore was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Whittemore was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
