Recap: Ridgecroft Rams vs. Northeast Academy Eagles
The Ridgecroft Rams put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Northeast Academy at home to the tune of 56-25. Ridgecroft has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 29 points or more this season.
Makenzie Slaughter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Kate Chamblee was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Ridgecroft's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Northeast Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Ridgecroft will head out on the road to take on Lawrence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pungo Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Pungo Christian Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
