Basketball Game Preview: Revere Minutemen vs. Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings

The Revere Minutemen and the Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Revere is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Revere ended up a good deal behind Roosevelt and lost 48-34. While losing is never fun, the Minutemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Rough Riders are ranked 146th).

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Villa Angela-St. Joseph's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 54-34 to Cleveland Heights. The Vikings were down 50-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Revere's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Revere took their victory against Villa Angela-St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 by a conclusive 56-32. Does Revere have another victory up their sleeve, or will Villa Angela-St. Joseph turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
