Basketball Recap: Marshall Rams vs. Stevens Falcons
Marshall was the 84-77 winner over Stevens when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Marshall Rams took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stevens Falcons on Friday. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 20-15 in the first quarter.
Marshall lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adam Camacho, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Vidaurri, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.
Stevens' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jose Ochoa, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ochoa a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Zane Schunior, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.
