Soccer Recap: Canby Comes Up Short

Canby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Wilsonville Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that Canby have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Jordan Lopez, who's now up to five this season.

Canby's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Wilsonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Canby will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Canby will be up against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts' rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wilsonville, they will challenge Putnam at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
