Softball Recap: Hazleton Area Comes Up Short

Hazleton Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, falling 10-2.

Kayla Lagowy was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off three doubles, two runs, and one triple while going 4-for-4.

Hazleton Area's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cumberland Valley, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Hazleton Area will take on Palisades at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups. As for Cumberland Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Altoona at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
