Basketball Recap: Brazosport Christian's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

It was a Battle of the Birds when Brazosport Christian faced off against Founders Christian on Friday. The Brazosport Christian Eagles took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Founders Christian Falcons. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brazosport Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mason Speed, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most steals Speed has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Tyson Sullivan, who put up eight points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Brazosport Christian moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Founders Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Brazosport Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-56 loss against Calvary Baptist on the 14th. As for Founders Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-38 victory against Divine Savior Academy - Sienna on the 14th.
