Volleyball Recap: West Anchorage Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Chugiak

West Anchorage faced Chugiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Chugiak found their leader in sophomore Kinley Jo Adams, who had six digs and four aces.

West Anchorage's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20-2. As for Chugiak, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 17-9.

Coming up, West Anchorage will take on Wrangell in a tournament on Friday. As for Chugiak, they will venture away from home to take on Bettye Davis East Anchorage at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
