Basketball Game Preview: Parma Panthers vs. Melba Mustangs

Parma has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Melba has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Parma Panthers will host the Melba Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Parma's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so Melba's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Parma against Marsing as the team secured a 57-15 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Melba didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Nampa Christian on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 23-18 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Trojans are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parma's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Melba, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
