Basketball Game Preview: Edgewood Warriors vs. Madison Blue Streaks

Edgewood is 0-4 against Madison since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Edgewood Warriors will be playing at home against the Madison Blue Streaks at 6:45 p.m. Edgewood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Madison likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Edgewood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 71-66 to Chardon. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Madison waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They secured a 58-52 W over East.

Madison's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Edgewood ended up a good deal behind Madison in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 68-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Madison's Mac Steele, who went 10 for 14 en route to 25 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
