Baseball Recap: Martinsburg Comes Up Short

Martinsburg managed to slip by Spring Mills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 8-2 to the Cardinals on Wednesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Martinsburg has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season. As for Spring Mills, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9.

Coming up, Martinsburg will square off against GVCS Broadfording at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Mills will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against University, they'll take on Spring Mills again at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
