Football Recap: Orland's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

Orland lost against Red Bluff back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans lost 35-14 to the Spartans. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Orland still got an impressive performance from Luke Schager, who rushed for 224 yards and one TD while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Schager is now averaging an impressive 132.7 rushing yards per game.

Even if they lost, Orland's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Dillon Rubio refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Ashden Wehbey was a one-man wrecking crew For Red Bluff. as he threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Wehbey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Eden, who gained 122 total yards and a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Orland fell to 4-1. As for Red Bluff, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Orland and Red Bluff will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Trojans see the field they'll take on Gridley at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Red Bluff, their break will end when they face Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
