Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Cinnaminson's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Cinnaminson won the last time they faced Pemberton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cinnaminson Pirates came out on top against the Pemberton Hornets by a score of 53-40. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Hornets are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cinnaminson is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Pemberton, they moved to 6-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cinnaminson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northern Burlington at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Pemberton, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Burlington Township at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Burlington Township will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Pemberton surely won't give up without a fight.
