Baseball Recap: West Boca Raton Starts Season with Win Against Royal Palm Beach

West Boca Raton took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats. The Bulls have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Gavin Russell looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, West Boca Raton got a massive performance out of Tayegan Briskey, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Axel Diaz-Rivera was another key player, going a perfect1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

West Boca Raton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Royal Palm Beach only posted an OBP of .200.

Royal Palm Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, West Boca Raton will be playing at home against Bishop Moore at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Royal Palm Beach, they will venture away from home to square off against Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
