Softball Recap: Williams Field Takes a Loss

Williams Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Desert Ridge Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Black Hawks of the 15-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.

Kam Christiansen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Carnes, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Williams Field's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Desert Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

While Williams Field had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
