Volleyball Game Preview: East Henderson Eagles vs. Franklin Panthers

East Henderson is 0-10 against Franklin since August of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. East Henderson will be strutting in after a victory while Franklin will be coming in after a loss.

East Henderson will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Tuscola, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mountaineers on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Franklin entered their match against West Henderson on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

While Franklin ultimately came up short, they really made West Henderson work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13.

East Henderson will have to contain Lass Ward as she made an impact in Franklin's last game. She had 17 digs and three aces. Bristol Brooks also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for East Henderson, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-24.

East Henderson might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Franklin when the teams last played back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
