Baseball Game Preview: Silsbee Tigers vs. Vidor Pirates

The Silsbee Tigers will face off against the Vidor Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vidor took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Silsbee, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Silsbee got the win against West Orange-Stark by a conclusive 20-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Vidor came up short against Lumberton on Thursday and fell 7-2. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vidor saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Chessar, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Hayden Law also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Silsbee and bumps their season record up to 16-9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Vidor, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
