Basketball Recap: Oyster River Piles Up the Points Against Bishop Brady

Oyster River had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-34 win over the Bishop Brady Giants. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Giants are ranked 68th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oyster River pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Bishop Brady, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Oyster River will take on Bow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oyster River knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Bow likes a good challenge. As for Bishop Brady, they will face off against Pembroke at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
