Soccer Game Preview: New Brockton vs. Geneva

The New Brockton Gamecocks will face off against the Geneva Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

New Brockton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Tallassee just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Geneva unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of New Brockton by a score of 2-1 last Tuesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

New Brockton's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Geneva, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

New Brockton came out on top in a nail-biter against Geneva in their previous meeting last Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. Will New Brockton repeat their success, or does Geneva have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
