Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal O'Hara). They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles on Wednesday. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Jack Coleman made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other batting news, Jake Steigerwalt was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Sean Vaughn was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Cardinal O'Hara was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conwell-Egan Catholic only posted a batting average of .280.

Cardinal O'Hara now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
