Volleyball Recap: Hunters Lane Falls to Hillsboro in First Game of Season

Hunters Lane unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Hillsboro Burros on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

While Hunters Lane was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hillsboro's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-7, 25-13.

Hillsboro was led to victory by Lilly Fowler and Emily Hull. Fowler had seven aces and four digs, while Hull had 15 assists and four aces.

Coincidentally, Hunters Lane and Hillsboro will both be playing Antioch the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Burros will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
