Baseball Game Preview: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Buckeye Hawks

The Paradise Valley Trojans will face off against the Buckeye Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Paradise Valley got the win against Buckeye by a conclusive 9-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Tommy Marshall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5. That run marked the first that he scored this season.

In other batting news, Nick deChaud was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. Braedan Lewis was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Paradise Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Paradise Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Buckeye, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
