Baseball Recap: Troy Takes a Loss

Troy blew Lansingburgh out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Lansingburgh got their revenge. The Flying Horses fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. The Flying Horses were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Troy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That hit marked the first that Armstrong has got this season.

Troy's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lansingburgh, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Troy will challenge rival Mohonasen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lansingburgh is set to face off against their familiar foe Cohoes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
